S.C. Energy Citizens for Jobs and Affordable Energy Forum

Climate change legislation being considered in Washington means economic pain for South Carolina . This climate change legislation will lead to higher energy costs for families, businesses and agriculture. The S.C. Energy Citizens for Jobs and Affordable Energy Forum is for South Carolinian’s from all walks of life whose daily lives and ability to carry on business and raise families depend on affordable energy and maintaining a vibrant state economy.

This free, family-friendly event will take place on Monday, August 31 at the Carolina First Center (formerly the Palmetto Expo Center ) near I-385 and Pleasantburg Drive .

Come enjoy food and music while interacting with local leaders about how to keep jobs in South Carolina and not bust the family budget due to higher energy costs. There will be petitions to sign and speakers from small business organizations, taxpayer and free enterprise groups, agriculture and energy – all addressing how this legislation will impact you and you can speak out.

If you are concerned about jobs here in South Carolina and you want clean, affordable energy for your home, church, school and business then you need to add your voice and support to the S.C. Energy Citizens for Jobs and Affordable Energy Forum.

The forum will be held on Monday, August 31st at the Carolina First Center from 5:30pm to 7:00pm
