I idolize Sarah Palin because she is a woman with very strong character. She has also lots of accomplishments in the area of public service.---

A brilliant strategy! She enumerated that her promises to Alaska had already been fulfilled in her first two years. Why should she stay in office to be diced by political hacks, increase hers' and Alaska's debt fighting frivolous allegations?

Why should she run for governor and run for another seat at the same time as many do? That "rubs my fur the wrong way." Typically, I would think finish her term, but as she says "It's not about politics as usual." It struck me as quite refreshing. I sense Sarah has a future and respect her position and strategy. SCpatriot.com

I heard in a radio interview with the First Gentleman of Alaska, Todd, that she was stepping down for a variety of reasons, one of which is the fact that she's dealt with so much litigation regarding finance and use of public funds (so far all of which have been in her favor) that her time has been too divided and she felt she couldn't devote enough of her time to running the state properly. I personally feel like she's trying to make the best call for her state and her country.

Did Hillary give up her Senate seat to run for President? Did BO?

No one gives up one seat to run for another unless the State Constitution disallows them to hold the seat while campaigning for another. AND she hasn't announced yet, has she?

If true about Palin resigning, something else is going on; unless, as I said, the AK Constitution disallows her to hold her seat while campaigning for another seat. When does her term expire?

Do Governors run for US Senate? Typically, isn't it from the pool of Governors that Presidents are chosen? I said "typically". BO is an aberration.
