Nikki Haley, Candidate for Governor

We are pleased to announce that Nikki Haley is coming to our July 11th picnic.  We plan to gather about 5 in the afternoon at Baby Doll Lake off John Dodd Road.  It would be great to have a good turnout to meet Nikki as she has announced she is running for Governor.  She’s first in line of the many who are running.

    This is great news and I’ll plan on attending this event. I think it’s great that we have a strong woman running for governor.

    I will say I have been disappointed that Nikki has not come out and distanced herself from Sanford, even a little bit more. I think it may hurt her. Now that Mark Sanford continues to embarrass and demean the mother of his children and the First Lady of our state with his constant stream of details about his affairs, I think Nikki needs to stand up as the only woman and mother in this race.

    A couple of conservative women like myself have made the same observation at our recent book club meeting in Landrum.
