Greenville GOP vs Democratic Nominee Bob Conley

Greenville GOP Bob ConleyBob Conley and a group of supporters (Beltram is NOT one of them) showed up at the Greenville County GOP Executive Committee Meeting last night.  Let’s just say the meeting became a rules showdown between Greenville Doug Wavel and Cherokee County GOP member Brian Frank.

Last night, members of the executive committee meeting were reminded of the rules regarding the immediate vacancy of seats.  Short point…If you are publicly campaigning or endorsing a member of another party, you immediately lose your post.

Brian Frank and others have decided that Bob Conley (a supposed Ron Paul supporter) is more conservative than Lindsey Graham.  Mr. Frank decided to try and get Mr. Conley’s message across to the GOP during the new business session (Mr. Conley had left the auditorium, but was greeting folks outside).  His argument was that he was more conservative and that the people are conservative before they are republicans.

Many points of order came to be stopping the onslaught of pro-Conley monologue and a motion was finally called for adjournment.

The final point to Mr. Wavel’s argument was that we had a nominating process, Greenville county disagreed with Mr. Graham on several issues, but he overwhelmingly won the state and Mr. Graham is who we will support.

On another note, after the censure resolution in Greenville last year, individuals came to Spartanburg and tried to pass it.  Will the Conley gang show up in Spartanburg?

Spartanburg’s Executive Committee meeting will be on August 25th at Fuddruckers.  Considering the show last night, I may have to take my video camera to see what happens.

All, I was also at this meeting, if Mr Frank has indeed pressed charges, then I hope the local athorities chage him with making a false charge, and wasting their time so he can play some game to get his candidate some news print. Mr Wavle never touched the man, nor made any threats. Pretty pathitic.

Remember this was a GOP meeting that he Dem candidate crashed. He aslo asked the chairman to speak to this group several times(asking before the meeting) and the Chairman told him that would not be allowed.

As to Mr Frank being a Republican, well he joined the party when his Candidate( Ron Paul) decided to run. I doubt he will stay loyal to the GOP very long since he never really belived in its platform, just his candidate. We had quite a few Libertarians join to help the Paul campaign.

Thank you, Matthew. I met with a Sgt Masters with the Greenville Tech police department this afternoon. Have you been asked to speak to them yet? Please do so if you could. Do you know who the young man was sitting at the table beside Brian Franks?

  • Matthew

“Do you know who the young man was sitting at the table beside Brian Franks?”

No I do not. Sorry I wish I did.

This guy is getting into hot water, he filed a false statement to the police, that is a crime. I would recomend he ask for it to be dropped, for his benefit not Mr Wavle’s.

    Thanks Matthew.

Im hearing alot of denials of what the VIDEO evidence clearly shows without disputing the facts of the video. (Fox style)Fact..Mr.Wavels clearly approached Mr.Franks in the video in a very rude manner. Fact…There was clearly a PHYSICAL altercation instigated by Mr.warvel. If Mr.Warverl had NOT approached Mr.Frank…there would have been none. Dispute thses facts. Dispute for me if you will that Mr.Warvel told Mr.Frank to LEAVE A PUBLIC building. It is clearly audible on the video. Who is he to tell him to leave..under what authority and under what MORAL COMPASS I ask you folks.
I bid you continued good spinning.

Final email on this subject, Sig.

1: Your first “Fact”: “There was clearly a PHYSICAL altercation instigated by Mr.warvel”
Untrue. Police Sgt Rick Masters was quoted in an article in the Greenville News this morning stating “in the part (of the video) that I have see, I do not see any assault there.” Direct quote. Also stated the same to me yesterday when I gave my statement to him. He had viewed the video Mr. Frank gave to him. You choose to see a physical altercation because you want to believe one occurred. You ignore the eyewitness testimony of two people who have stated emphatically that nothing happened because you want to believe Mr. Frank’s “spin.” ACTUAL FACT: The police see no evidence of assault.
2: Your Second “FACT”: “If Mr.Warverl had NOT approached Mr.Frank…there would have been none (physical altercation).” Good point. Also, if Mr. Frank had made any number of better choices throughout the evening, nothing would have happened. I never commented on whether Doug should or should not have approached Mr. Frank. This isn’t about your opinion or my opinion on that subject: it is about Mr. Frank’s false allegations and the disreputible manner in which he has made them.
ACTUAL FACT: Both Mr. Frank and Mr. Wavle could have behaved differently. Mr. Wavle is an officer of the GCRP Executive Committee and was required to attend this meeting. Mr. Frank was not.
    3. Your third “FACT” “Dispute for me if you will that Mr.Warvel told Mr.Frank to LEAVE A PUBLIC building. It is clearly audible on the video.” So. What is your point? I didn’t realize asking someone to “LEAVE A PUBLIC building” was a chargeable offense. EGADS!!
ACTUAL FACT: Doug had every right to tell him to leave and Brian had every right to ignore him which he did.

Finally, if being rude is grounds for criminal charges, we’ll all be in the pokey. I’m sure Doug wishes he had just ignored Brian instead of giving him the fodder he was searching for. I know I’ve been in his place–wishing I’d just left the jerks alone. If only I were as brilliant as you Sig. I know I would never have said or done anything rude or stupid. It must be nice to be you. Doug could have made different choices Monday night but none of his choices were against the law. Mr. Frank could have made some better ones too. I believe he’ll wish he had before all this is over.

Esther, I have met you before and I really thought that you were a nice and motivated for the country kind of person. I went back to talk to Police Sgt Rick Masters today, and he also like you wes trying to convince me not to file these charges. He even used intimidation by reading me my rights! Who has hired all you people? Fox Newx, Lindsey Graham, or Gearge Bush? Are you all ar doing is trying to save face for the GOP in Greenville! Try to save the Country! With all of our passoin, we can do it together! By the way, I have voted Republican since I was 18! I have since awakened, I am first a Conseritive and 2nd a Republican and thats why Im voting for Bob Conley in November!

Esther, you quote Sgt.Master’s viewing of the video “I did not see any assault there” I contend that Sgt. Masters is ignoring the evidence.
At:24 seconds Mr.Warverl makes a move from his left hand side at Brian. Followed by Brian saying “Hey hey dude DON’T this is my stuff”. What is Brian responding to? Could it be some kind of verbal address from Mr.Warvel? NO…I dont hear Warvel addressing him while the camera is shaking and Brian is exclaiming DON’T this is my stuff. Conclusion, Mr.Warvel is getting physical with Brian. In depth analysis is really not needed just watch the video for goodness sakes.
I IGNORE witness testimony because I see a physical altercation Esther, what video are you watching?

“Your Second “FACT”: “If Mr.Warverl had NOT approached Mr.Frank…there would have been none (physical altercation).” Good point. Also, if Mr. Frank had made any number of better choices………

Esther, you should have stopped at “Good point” Instead you SPIN it around to Frank and his choices. This defies logic! Let’s review the video shall we? At 12 seconds Mr.Warverl notices Frank and his camera to which Warvel approaches Brain….ok…lets stop right there. If Mr.Warverl would have simply and MATURELY(like an adult…a big boy), walked out of the building, the incident would not have happened. Mr.Frank would have been standing there…with his camera….or doing jumping jacks…..either way it was Warvel that instigated NOT Frank. I quote you(sans the spin) “good point”.

Moveing along to lesser facts that are not directly related to Warvel assaulting Frank.
“Your third “FACT” “Dispute for me if you will that Mr.Warvel told Mr.Frank to LEAVE A PUBLIC building……..”
I see have have left out a pivitol point Esther(Fox style).
On what MORAL ground does Warvel stand on asking Frank to leave was also part of my question. (and I never said it was a chargeable offense for him to ask…get your FACTS straight) Warvle does have the freedom to ask him to leave, this is very true Esther. However, for the “RUDE”(I’m quoting you Esther) Mr.Warvel to ask Frank to leave is dispicable! How dare he ask a member of the public to “take it off the table and leave” “Mr.Warverl was required to attend, Frank was not.” Was the meeting open to the public Esther? How dare Mr.Warvel even imply that all CITIZENS are not welcome….Period!

“If only I were as brilliant as you Sig. I know I would never have said or done anything rude or stupid”
Very true Ester nobody is perfect. I can say this with all my heart and soul, If I were an officer of the GCRP Executive Committee I would have the good sence not to treat the public the way Mr.Warvel treated Frank. Mr.Warvel should be ashamed for the spectacle he made of himself. Imagine if you will some body approaching your son or daughter and doing this…would you be deffending him such as your are after seeing the video. “I dont see any assault”!
Happy spinning to you and good day!

    Sig,

I understand you want to believe Mr Frank, But video alone from only one angle does not tell all the story. Don’t get me wrong he did a great job of making it look like somethig happened(michael moore would be proud), but that is simply not the case. There were plenty of witnesses to what happened that the truth will win out.

I hope he keeps this up, because if he does Mr Frank will be arrested for making false statements to the police, claiming assault and battary when such did not occur. You know making a false statement to the police regarding this type of matter is a crime.

Although you are right about one thing, Doug Should not have asked him to leave, he should have called the campus police to escort him out of the building for continued distruption of the GOP meeting.

Now Ya’ll can keep up these little gestapo tactics, with your Ron Paul goons if you want, but you have already lost Mr Conley votes in this group(who voted to censure him last year) by these overhanded silly tactics.

  • http://www.campaignforliberty.com Sig Kim

With all due respect Matthew the only person I saw in the Frank’s video committing gestapo type tactics was Mr.Warvel. I appreciate you’re comment as a witness, and of course your right I was not there….however Mr.Warvel’s actions speak LOUD and clear.

I’ll ask the same question I did in a previous comment. If Mr.Warvel had done this to your spouse, daughter, or son, would there be such discounting of what the video shows? If Mr.Warvel had done this to a police officer…well……I suspecet Mr.Warvel would not be strolling out of the building in the end.
This will be the last comment on the subject as the folks at the conservativist are kind and FREE….enough to allow open comments. Thank you Conservativist! The viewers will just have to reach their own conclusions.
    Good day.
    Sig

    Mr. Kim,

I would not birth a child so stupid as to behave in the manner in which Mr. Frank has behaved; therefore, Mr. Wavle would not be approaching them so I can’t honestly answer your question.

    Mr. Frank,

I don’t remember ever having met you but I don’t know why you believe my political opinions have any bearing on this matter. I do not allow my personal feelings or opinions to color my sworn testimony. I was in a position to see this incident clearly and am morally compelled to bear witness to what I saw. I have no doubt that Sgt Masters is attempting to convey to you the seriousness of what you are doing as have I. You say you met me and thought I was a nice person. Then perhaps you should go with your gut and realize that maybe I’m trying to keep you from making a huge mistake. The video does not even back up your sworn statement. You have gotten yourself into a predicament from which you cannot easily extricate yourself. Three people have come forward to deny your charges. These are not evil people bent on beating you down because you support Bob Conley. And you are right, many people don’t like Doug. (Lots of people don’t like those of us that don’t stand on the sidelines.) So why do you think all these people that supposedly don’t like him are coming forward to defend him? Perhaps because they believe in doing the right thing. If you had come to me with this video and asked if Doug were right to behave this way, I would have said “No.” But ask me if he committed a crime (which you did do–ask–not state, until two days later) and I will again answer emphatically, “NO!” Again, I’ve said and done things I wish I could go back and change just because I look like a fool. I’m sure Doug feels that now. But so should you, Brian. You behaved in a boorish and rude manner the whole evening. You should not have been there at all. You poked the lion: Doug was just poking back. Granted, the adult thing to do would have been to call campus security and have you escourted from the building. Doug didn’t do the adult thing. You didn’t either. But the only criminal behavior here is yours. Filing a false police report is against the law. You may even have convinced yourself that you are telling the truth but I know you aren’t, Brian. You know it,too, deep down. At this point, you have me angry enough at you that I hope you continue down this road. You are headed for some hard times and I am not such a nice person sometimes. Sometimes, I like to see people get what they deserve.

  • Matthew

    Sig,

You can look at my longer comments in the other post regarding the events I saw or have discovered. I don’t want to post them in each thread.

As to would I be upset if it were my spouse or daughter( well that is not apples to apples comparison) I would be, but Mr Frank is a grwon man not a spouse or little daughter. He is a big boy.

It still does not give him the right to make false charges to the police, and then to call the police Sgt a Hitler because the Man is doung his job to get to the truth.

Graham supporters are either being extremely naive or extremely foolish in choosing him. He has stabbed U.S. citizens in the back at every opportunity. He is a traitor through and through.

And, you know what’s proof of it, I don’t even have to tell y’all which votes make him a traitor. You’re fully aware of that which I’m referring to.

Needless to say, I’ll be voting for Bob Conley. (But then, against Graham, I’d vote for Lucifer Satan himself–couldn’t be any worse!)

If you’re so shallow as to choose party over principle, you deserve what you get: a government that works for corporations and multi-nationals and an economy in a shambles from corporate welfare.

This economy has already destroyed any hopes of a Republican comeback in D.C.

I’m a lifelong Republican voter who will vote against every incumbent this year to, if nothing else, punish the arrogance of a party that has abandoned its base in the naked pursuit of power. You traitors in the party infrastructure have sold us down the river.

I’ll never vote for a Republican for President again and whenever I can, I’ll vote third party.
